The West Coast Eagles delivered the news yesterday their star ruckman was injured again, but on the bright side, it wasn’t his troublesome knee.

Nic Naitanui has been ruled out for an undefined number of weeks with an ankle injury, but his teammate Josh Kennedy says they’re hopeful for a return by the AFL Finals.

“It’s real flattening, to see the last couple of years the injuries, the build up, to the injury again and the build up and have the impact he has in two games and then to go down  now,” Kennedy explained to 6PR Breakfast.

“The ankle injury and, for him, a ruckman, sprinting around, the impact that he has with the weight of his body, it is something that is quite serious.
“We’re hoping that, obviously, he’ll get back for finals,” Kennedy says.
