What’s up doc?
Josh Kennedy’s return can only be getting closer, but it’s all in the hands of the West Coast Eagles club doctors.
Kennedy told 6PR Breakfast last week that he was looking at his return for the game ahead, but he didn’t match up against the Power.
“The doc just had a gut feel that it was too much of a risk to let me play so he kind of ruled me out,” Kennedy told Peter Vlahos and Jane Marwick.
He said this week could be the week, but he has to rely on the experts yet again.
“Hopefully the medical meeting they all come out pretty happy on Thursday and give us the all clear.
“I’m pretty confident in playing this week but in saying that I’ve been that confident the last couple weeks and the docs ruled me out.”
It’s the Derby this weekend with Fremantle hosting the Eagles on Sunday and Kennedy says it would be a great game to make his return:
“No matter where we are on the ladder, it’s always a big test, a big game.”
