Teachers want same protections as public officers

The Principals’ Federation of WA is calling for tougher penalties for people who assault public school teachers, in line with public sector workers such as police and ambulance officers.
Federation President Bevan Ripp told Gareth Parker, it’s about protecting teachers and principals who are increasingly targeted by parents.
