Serial escapee on the run again

Gary Adshead

Questions are again being asked about the Corrective Services system, following the escape of a repeat escapee.

Laurie John Junior Dodd is still on the run, after fleeing two officers while at Royal Perth Hospital on Sunday.

Dodd escaped from Broome Regional Prison in 1999, and was part of a mass break-out from the WA Supreme Court in 2004.

Gareth Parker spoke with Shadow Corrective Services minister Sean L’Estrange about the escape.

The pair also discussed the case of Edward Latimer who again breached a condition of his release order at the weekend.

Gareth discussed the Latimer case just last week, when he breached a release condition for the first time, only to be granted bail.
