Police have revealed new information about a random sex assault in Mullaloo, as the hunt continues for the attacker.

A woman in her 40s was attacked by an unknown naked man around 5am on Christmas Eve, as she walked near the Mullaloo Beach carpark.

Detective First Class Constable Faye Forshaw told Mornings with Gareth Parker, the attacker may have been injured in the struggle.
