National Seniors Chief Slams ‘Out Of Touch’ Government

National Seniors Chief Advocate Ian Henschke says Prime Minister Scott Morrison is out of touch when it comes to the issue of raising the Newstart allowance. The Government has said there will be no increase to the current payment. 48 per cent of people on the benefit are over 45 years old and may not be able to get a new job or change careers due to age discrimination.
