“Marlon” or “Fish”, Matera, how Brandon got his name

A meeting was held with the Fremantle Dockers players yesterday to address the claims of sexual harassment, Brandon Matera told 6PR Breakfast Steve Rosich spoke with the group.

“We had Steve Rosich come in and just went through the AFL statement and the club statement… players didn’t have much to do with it.”

On a lighter note, Steve and Baz asked Matera about his Gold Coast nickname “Fish” which has a link back to his South Fremantle playing days:
“After one of the League games, a few of the boys called me Marlon, after Marlon Brando…and then as I moved over to the Gold Coast Ken Hinkley was going through trying to find some nick names… he goes ‘nah, too long, I’m going to call you Fish’,” Matera shared.
