Jo McManus tells a story every couple needs to hear

Perth LIVE Press Conference panelist and veteran broadcaster Jo McManus joined Oliver Peterson to share her story about dealing with the bank following the sudden death of her husband while he was overseas.

Their joint credit card was cancelled without notice, leaving her to deal with late payment notices and having to re-tell her devastating story to companies like Foxtel, Optus and utilities providers.

“I found myself in the middle of my grief and efforts to get my husband home that I was being told I wasn’t paying my bills.”

“What I really want to say to 6PR listeners is that if your partner dies, do not tell the bank . Wait until you’ve gone through the funeral.”
