Jarrah Dundler, author of Hey Brother

Jarrah Dundler’s debut novel Hey Brother is an exploration of mental health, rural living and strength. Filled with rich imagery, The stark and at times unforgiving landscape of the Australian bush serves as an emotive metaphor for the conditions of war and the toll it can take on families.

Hey Brother was shortlisted for the Australian/ Vogel’s Literary Award (2017) and was selected for a Byron Writers Residential Mentorship.

Jarrah spoke Chris about the inspiration for his fictitious work, which is a little closer to home that meets the eye.
