EU coming for ‘feta’ and ‘scotch’

We may soon have to re-name a variety of food products, with the European Union seeking protections on more than 400 foods and spirits as part of a trade deal with Australia.

The Champagne style protections would see the dairy industry unable to use a range of cheese names including feta and Gorgonzola.

Trade minister Simon Birmingham joined Gareth Parker to explain how Australians can get involved.
