The State Government has come under fire after confirming tens of millions of dollars will be cut from the education budget.

The School of the Air in five regional hubs will close, and a further 170 job will be cut, from 2019.

Education minister Sue Ellery admitted on Mornings with Gareth Parker, she regrets having to tighten the purse strings when it comes to education.
