Almost 1,000 kids suspended in a month

Education Minister Sue Ellery claims an increase in the number of suspensions shows a crackdown on violence in public schools is working.

Figures from the first four weeks of the school year show seven students have been expelled – and 919 have been suspended.

Mornings with Gareth Parker also spoke with WA Primary Principals Association president Ian Anderson about what he’s seeing in classrooms.
