New rules suit Freo

The Fremantle Dockers surged into the season with a massive win and midfielder Bradley Hill says the team worked well with the new zoning rules.

“I thought we were very good out of the centre square bounce and with [Nat] Fyfe and [David] Mundy and just the way you can penetrate. Obviously, you’ve got no numbers coming off the side of the square and putting pressure on you can get it in pretty deep and score a lot easier,” Hill told 6PR Breakfast.

The Dockers did lose Hayden Ballantyne to a hamstring injury though ,but it does make way for tall forward Jesse Hogan who was under suspension by the club.
“He’s been training, he’s been in good spirits. Whatever decision they [coaches] make, the playing group will be happy with it,” Hill says about Hogan.
