WA grain growers staying positive despite lengthy investigation into barley tariffs

The chairman of the Grains Industry Markets Access Forum says he expects any investigation from the global trade watchdog into China’s barley tariffs could take up to a year.

Australia is likely to report China to the World Trade Organisation over Beijing’s 80 percent barley import tax they claim is to stop the grain being dumped on their markets.

Miling farmer Barry Large told Gareth Parker on Mornings, despite a lengthy wait, he’s staying positive.
