Some of the biggest names in world cricket who were playing for Shane Warne in the Indian Premier League have put their names behind 6PR traffic reporter Rob Beaver’s quest to raise money for The World’s Greatest Shave for Leukaemia.

UK correspondent Enda Brady managed to get his hands on a 2019-20 IPL cricket jersey from the Rajasthan Royals, featuring the autographs of players at the club, including Steve Smith, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes.

Perth picture framers FrameSport have also donated framing for the piece, worth about $400.

“Rob Beaver’s a great bloke and I just wanted to give him a little bit of a push today,” Enda told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

Rob has leukaemia and unfortunately his family has an extensive history of cancer too. After feeling tired and getting some blood tests, he went to get his result.

“I walked into the doctors office and he handed me a piece of paper and told me I had cancer and to go to the emergency ward,” he told Steve Mills recently. “That’s how cut and dry it was.”

That was in 2015. Rob (above) is now happy, fit and healthy with very minimal side effects from medication he still has to take.

However, some people are not so lucky and so Rob wanted to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation, who helped him during the “worst time in his life.”

Rob has coloured his hair in an array of colours since his charity drive began earlier this year, and he will shave his head completely today, in an effort to hit the $5000 fundraising mark he is just short of.

6PR will also support Rob by auctioning off the framed IPL cricket shirt. For those interested in making a bid, call the switchline on 133882, or click here for your last chance to support Rob and donate to his cause.
