The Football Budget has been a staple of WA Football for decades with the local footy magazine first published back in 1921, but it could be making a change this coming WAFL season.

The publisher Media Tonic has handed control of the Football Budget back to the WA Football Commission.

Football Budget writer and keen WAFL historian, Sean Cowan, says it’s not the first time the WAFC has had full control of the publication.

They were reviewing what to do with it and had asked the clubs for their opinion on what they should do,” Cowan told 6PR Breakfast.
