Treasurer Mike Nahan admits the State Government’s spent a lot in recent years but maintains it needed to.

He is out selling the budget this morning making no apologies for the $1.3 billion deficit and $25.5 billion debt.

Dr Nahan says the government had to spend to deal with record population growth, high wages in the mining sector and the need to refresh WA infrastructure.

Dr Nahan joined Gary Adshead in the studio to discuss the Budget.
