Union leader blasts BHP over stalled negotiations
BHP workers are set to walk off the job next week for the first time in 40 years as negotiations with unions stall.

Speaking to 6PR Drive host Mark Doran, the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union WA state secretary Steve McCartney criticised the mining giant for prioritising profit over employees.
“We’ve had plenty of meetings with BHP with little or no result, they’re not accepting the fact that they have to negotiate in good faith … Over the last five years BHP has made over $430,000 per head profit, annually. I think they can afford to pay a little more,” he said.
