After a passionately committed effort from volunteers and wildlife experts, the remaining pilot whales stranded on Cheynes Beach have been euthanised to end their suffering.

Albany local Brett Peake has been on the scene since the news broke, and told Millsy and Karl onĀ 6PR Breakfast he hasn’t had time yet to process the whole event.

“I haven’t really slept… we were hoping for the best, but deep down we all knew it was bleak,” Mr Peake said.
