Skipper Hurn still in doubt

Article image for Skipper Hurn still in doubt

West Coast Eagles goal sneak Josh Kennedy has quashed rumours he has a knee injury that he sustained in training, saying it was a slight knock to the shin and confirmed he will be playing in the Elimination Final on Thursday night against Essendon.

In other team news Kennedy says it’s still uncertain if the skipper will play this week.

“He trained last night, he’s pretty confident he’s pretty confident with it [hamstring] so it’s up to match committee to see if they want to push forward with it, but hopefully he can get up.”
“He’s obviously a massive leader of our side and really helps out with our backline.”

He also added it’s “fantastic” to have Nic Naitanui back in training.
