Ever wondered if your chocolate is sustainably made? Despite its popularity, many chocolate companies fall short on the ethical scale when it comes to manufacturing sustainably.

Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Law, at University of Wollongong, Australia Stephanie Perkiss joined Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons to discuss the fifth edition of the Chocolate Scorecard.

“There’s research out there that says the average Australian will consume approximately 5 kilos of chocolate a year, the CSIRO says we consume an equivalent of 32 kilos of chocolate products.”

“The brands we gave green ratings to were Tony’s Chocoloney, Ritter Sport and HALBA,” Associate Professor Perkiss said.
