As the news of Willie Rioli’s ASADA test reached his West Coast teammates, they all felt a mixture of emotions that they had push aside as they faced the Geelong Cats last week.

“Shock, disappointment, anger everything. It was a bit of a shock to the system to hear that the morning of, and we were rolling into our training session,” Josh Kennedy told 6PR Breakfast.

“Our objective was to get Willie back home and obviously his health and wellbeing is something that we really need to watch,” he said.

As the Eagles sensationally crashed out of the finals, Kennedy says it was inconsistency throughout the season that hurt the team.

“Inconsistency was probably the biggest thing for the year,” he told Steve and Baz.
