Yesterday ‘Bob the Builder’ told the John Hughes Rumour File,  about hundreds of WA homes which were at risk of sewage leakages due to faulty piping equipment installed in new build homes.

Homes built within the last two years which used the faulty material are at risk of burst pipes which can cause mould and flooding.

Building & Energy director of electrical, gas and plumbing compliance Matthew Peacock told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker it will be months before the issue is resolved.

“It will be a number of months before we can really get to the bottom of this,” Mr Peacock said.

“I feel for the families….. I really feel for them.”

However, Mr Peacock has confidence that builders are supporting those affected by the fault.

“My understanding is the builders have looked after the cost associated…. the builders seem to be doing the right thing.”
