Major news and photography agencies have removed a photo of the Princess of Wales and her children, due to concerns of ‘manipulation.’

Western Australia Data Science Innovation Hub Director Alex Jenkins told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons, “It [the image] definitely does look like it has been manipulated.”

“We are quickly entering a world where the ability of AI models to create images that are so realistic, that it will be very difficult identify whether they’re real or fake.”

“Social media has really pushed this concept of misinformation and fake news. And that is now being extended not just from text and written articles but into images and very soon videos as well,” Mr Jenkins continued.
