“We need to up our game”

AMA WA President Dr Andrew Miller told Liam Bartlett Western Australia needs to get “super serious” about its preparedness for a COVID-19 outbreak.

Dr Miller said measures such as ensuring staff working in hotel quarantine weren’t working elsewhere and bus drivers had appropriate respiratory equipment were simple measures that weren’t being taken.

“These are just basic low hanging fruit that anyone running a building or mine site would have got to a long time ago but the Government hasn’t go to yet,” he said.
