Virtual reality creating memory bank for dementia sufferers
Dementia sufferers in a Surrey residential care facility have been using cardboard headsets to watch a 360-degree video simulation of the Queens Coronation Day celebrations from 1953 as part of a program trial to rebuild their memory banks.
Andy Garnett co-founded The Wayback project on a budget acquired through crowd funding and with a cast made of volunteers and so far the results have been surprising.
