Update: Red-tape leaves disability pensioner stranded

A disability pensioner says she feels helpless, after being told by the NDIS that she needs to pay more than $3,700 for a new mobility scooter, despite being approved for the funding.

Northam woman Shirley Cook contacted Mornings with Gareth Parker after being told she need to hand over the money upfront before she could be reimbursed.

Update 23.01.19: NDIS has been in contact with Shirley and she had some news for Mornings listeners today.
