The issue airlines and Police can’t agree on

Police Minister Michelle Roberts says the State Government would prefer airlines to check passengers are authorized to enter WA before they depart but an agreement hasn’t been met.

“We don’t want people arriving without authorization, but it is happening too often,” Mrs Roberts said.

“The airlines won’t come to an agreement with WA Police.”

Speaking with Oliver Peterson on Perth Live Minister Roberts also explained how a man was able to breach quarantine and go to the Northbridge Hotel on Friday night and her expectations for new harsher penalties for mobile phone driving offences introduced tomorrow.
