Teen girls not getting enough exercise
A study by Curtin University has found less than 10% of teen girls are getting enough exercise and alarmingly, the amount of screen time they consume is on the rise.
Less than one in ten teenage girls surveyed were physically active for 60 minutes or more a day, a figure that hasn’t changed over the last three years.
Meanwhile, 54% were found to be spending four hours or more a day on screens.
Steve and Baz spoke with Dr Michelle Jongenelis from Curtin Uni about the disturbing trend.
