There are calls for speed limits in high pedestrian areas to be cut to 30 to 40km/hr – rather than Australia’s current 50 km/h.

UNSW researcher, Professor Raphael Grzebieta told Mornings with Gareth Parker, it would greatly improve the chances of someone surviving if hit be a vehicle.
