Returning China visitors told to stay away from school

WA public school student who have recently returned from China or Hong Kong will be advised to stay home until they have spent 14 days back in the country.

The education department has changed its Coronavirus guidelines since this morning.

Originally students were only asked to stay home if they had been in contact with someone who had the virus.

But experts now say patients can go days without showing symptoms.

Education Minister Sue Ellery told Oliver Peterson the situation is very fluid.
