Snoring and sleep apnoea could be a thing of the past for sufferers, with a world-first procedure to reduce the tongue being run as a trial in Perth.

The clinical trial could be available for sufferers who can’t get relief from the mask that is currently used to treat the condition.
Dr Stuart McKay spoke with Steve and Baz on 6PR Breakfast and says the procedure removes the tonsils, shrinks the tongue and widens the throat.
