Liza Harvey has been elected unopposed as the first female leader of the WA Liberal Party.

A ballot was held this morning, triggered by the shock resignation of Mike Nahan as leader overnight.

Ms Harvey joined Oliver Peterson live today where she said she has ‘ripe fertile ground and she is pleased to be opposition leader against a government that is giving them plenty of ammunition.’
