Australian marathon legend Rob de Castella has declared the Australian Institute of Sport is dead, ahead of the release of the Federal Government’s new National Sports Plan today.

de Castella told Mornings with Gareth Parker, the new approach will put the onus on each individual sport to set up their own high performance programs, without the wider support of the AIS.
