Minister reassures teachers Term 2 decision based on best health advice

The Education Minister concedes education will look like nothing we’ve seen before – when term two resumes next week.

Questions and concerns remain around students and teachers heading back to the classroom next Wednesday – with current coronavirus restrictions in place.

Cleaning will be stepped up across the day – with schools to also use all available space to ensure social distancing can be adhered to.

Sue Ellery told Gary Adshead on Mornings she’s well aware teachers are being asked to work in a completely different way than they’re used to.
