Matthew Flinders’ remains discovered
The remains of Captain Matthew Flinders – who circumnavigated Australia – have been found in London.
It ends a 170 year mystery, after Flinders headstone was removed from St James’ Burial Ground during the expansion of Euston Station and his remains were believed to be lost.
Mornings with Gareth Parker spoke with Fairfax Media’s European Correspondent Nick Miller – who explained how a unique breastplate was key to the discovery.
