Junior football team stripped of premiership points

The WA Football Commission is standing by its decision to strip premiership points from a Year 10 side from the South Coogee Junior Football Club.

The club has failed to abide by WAFC by-laws which encourage participation by balancing stronger and weaker players across teams, if a club has multiple teams in the same age group.

WAFC Executive Manager – Youth, Community and Game Development – Troy Kirkham told Gareth Parker the rules are in place for a good reason.
