Johnathan Thurston in his own words

Millsy & Karl

When you think NRL, one of the first names that springs to mind is Johnathan Thurston, the first ever four-time Dally M Medallist, Indigenous All Star and all-round nice guy… and he’s released an autobiography about his journey on and off the field.

JT came in to the 6PR studios to share part of his story with Steve and Baz and told them about making a decision to move to Sydney, but he forgot to consult his wife first.

He also reminisced about the conversion kick that won the North Queensland Cowboys the 2015 NRL Premiership in extra time.

“Whenever the game was on the line I wanted the ball in my hands. Standing there for that conversion, I didn’t want to be anywhere else in the world other than right there taking this conversion because that’s what I love,” Thurston told 6PR Breakfast.
