Harder stance in schools leads to record suspensions, expulsions

Education Minister Sue Ellery says a new campaign to create a clear and strong stance against violence in schools has led to more students being suspended and expelled.

The percentage of students who received suspension notices increased from 4.5 to 5 per cent — the highest proportion ever recorded.
