The final escapee from Greenough Regional Prison has been recaptured by police after two nights on the run.

35 year old Bradley Silvester was picked up at a property in Glenfield – north of Geraldton – around 8.30am today.

Corrective Services Commissioner Tony Hassell spoke on Mornings with Gareth Parker, just moments after the news came through.

Inspector of Custodial Services, Neil Morgan then told Mornings, he has been warning of growing tensions within Greenough prison for years.
