Freo excited for MCG challenge

The Fremantle Dockers face reigning Premiers Richmond Tigers at the MCG on Sunday and the team are looking forward to playing on the hallowed turf.

“Obviously got a good record at the MCG but the boys are just looking forward to getting over there, we obviously don’t get much time to play on the MCG so any time we get out there, it’s a good thrill,” Matera told 6PR Breakfast.

He also said the Derby loss didn’t land on the shoulders of an injured Michael Walters and said going away from the game plan is to blame.
“In the second quarter we kicked it around and we didn’t work hard enough,” Matera said.
