Dibblers Back On Dirk Hartog

Twenty-four Dibbler joeys and three adults will be released at Dirk Hartog Island for the first time, re-introducing the species to the area where it’s long been extinct.

More than 900 Dibblers have been bred at Perth Zoo since 1997 and have been released at various spots around the state.

Simon Beaumont spoke with Dr Peter Mawsom from the Perth Zoo’s Native Species Breeding Program.
