Claims of ‘torture’ at Banksia Hill

Amnesty International has raised concerns about possible cases of ‘torture’, involving two young detainees at Banksia Hill Detention Centre.

Indigenous Rights Manager at Amnesty International, Tammy Solonec told Mornings with Gareth Parker the Intensive Support Unit at Banksia Hill should be closed immediately, pending an investigation into the boys’ cases.

Corrective Services Commissioner Tony Hassell then joined Mornings to respond to the claims.
