The City of Perth have slashed parking prices at four large parking locations in the lead up to Christmas to attract more people into the CBD.

A $10 flat fare for weekday parking has been brought in by the Acting Lord Mayor and City of Perth councilors with the hope of bringing the crowds back.
“There is a real appetite within the council to look at how do we use the parking business to really deliver benefit for the rate payers of the City of Perth,” Ms Green told 6PR Breakfast.

The idea of free parking in the city during the Christmas period was rejected by suspended Lord Mayor last year.
