An unusual roadside arrest has unfolded in Canning Vale, after a member of the public came to the aid of a police officer.

Mornings listener Bruce told Gareth Parker, he managed to capture the incident on his dashcam.

Ironically, 6PR newsreader John Nicholls can be heard in the video reporting on the police call for body cameras to be rolled out.
