Bacteria key to protecting kids from asthma

Exposing babies to certain bacteria could lower their chance of developing asthma.

According to a world first study from Monash University, bacteria in a newborn’s airway directly influences the development of the immune system, raising the possibility of preventative treatments.

Professor Ben Marsland told Mornings with Gareth Parker, it’s about finding a balance.
