“Albo is the best person to capture the imagination of WA”: Patrick Gorman

Chris Bowen has just bowed out of the ALP leadership race currently leaving Anthony Albanese as the only contender. Nominations for the position have not yet closed.

In the mean time senior Labor figures such as Joel Fitzgibbon and Penny Wong have thrown their support behind Albo.

Labor’s Federal Member for Perth Patrick Gorman spoke to Oliver Peterson today about who he supports and what their leadership would mean for WA.

“I’m supporting the person to lead the Labor party that I think can be a Labor Prime Minister in three years time. Very clearly that’s Anthony Albanese.

“Anthony is the best candidate in terms of West Australia’s interests.

“I believe he has the character to get us over the line when we face the people again in three years.”
