Perth’s Fisher to Carlton

Perth Demon’s youngster Zac Fisher will don the Navy Blue soon with the 18-year-old taken by the Carlton Blues at pick 27 at Friday night’s AFL Draft.
Fisher played 10 WAFL games for the Demons this last season, but it’s all the Blues needed to know to choose the midfielder.
Fisher told Peter Vlahos and Ben Cameron on 6PR’s Bouncing Around program that he was working on his friend’s farm when he heard the news.
‘I was by myself. I didn’t believe it; my phone was delayed so I was at pick 23 when I started receiving the messages.’
He won’t be alone when he joins his new team, Fisher is a cousin of Carlton’s Dennis Armfield who was drafted from Swan Districts in 2007.
