Perth actor shines in The Great

If you’re looking for a new binge-worthy show with a twist, The Great is a period drama filled with satire, and it stars one of Perth’s own.
WAAPA Graduate Belinda Bromilow has acted in Aussie TV series Doctor, Doctor and Packed to the Rafters but now she’s reaching an international audience through her kooky character, Aunt Elizabeth, in The Great.
“I love playing kooky people, you’ve got a lot more room to play around; you don’t have to make things appropriate or normal which is quite freeing as an actor,” Bromilow told 6PR Breakfast.
Her character takes on the odd hobby of training butterflies but it doesn’t always go to plan, as a good actor does, Bromilow prepared for that part of the role, as much as she could.
“I went to the London Zoo to do a bit of research; tried to wrangle a couple but they are pretty unwieldy those little guys,” she said.
