There have been no new COVID-19 cases reported overnight but Premier Mark McGowan has urged people to get tested as they suspect there are more cases in the community.

Three cases were reported up to 8pm on Sunday night, which were announced in yesterdays figures.

It takes the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Western Australia to 106.

One of the cases was not in quarantine for their whole infectious period, resulting in more exposure sites being added today.

There were 3728 tests undertaken across public and private clinics, however the Premier said that number must improve.

“We need to get more tests done, it’s as simple as that. We need to get test numbers up to make sure we understand where Omicron is so we can take further action as we need to.

“We expect there are more cases in the community, and we need to track them down.

“Test results that are returned today and tomorrow will be telling.”
